There are multiple things that you should do during a in-home survey. If you think there is nothing for you to get done, then you must know, it’s your home and your shifting, which makes it very important to know what needs to be done during the time of in-house survey. An in-house survey is when an executive from your hired moving company visits you for your shifting related pre-moving survey. And this is what should be done by you at that time:
- State the timeline of relocation. Your exact date of shifting and your expectation of when shifting should be completed must be mentioned.
- Express your worries relating to your delicate or antique items. Tell them if anything needs extra attention and should be wrapped accordingly or if there is anything which needs dual packing due to its fragility. A moving company needs to know such things from you to avoid damages in the future.
- Clearly mention the services you will require for your move. Make sure to be open about your expectations and how you want your relocation to be. See if the company’s executive is giving a positive response. If you aren’t satisfied with their response then also mention it to them.
- Ask questions about the relocation process. You must know how things will take place and what plan does the moving company have. Ask them what will happen at which stage and how they are pulling off the entire relocation.
- Ask about the complete details of the estimated moving price. This is one of the most crucial things and you must take the moving quotation in written form from the moving company. This will ensure there is no confusion or chaos during the final billing.
