We keep our household, office, or commercial goods temporarily in a warehouse to keep them safe until they find their permanent places. But the safety measure doesn’t end there. If you are keen to protect your goods from getting damaged, misplaced, or stolen, then you must make sure not to store anything that you shouldn’t.
The items that are not fit for storage in the household storage facilities include:,
- Perishable items like food and drinks. This is because the food will get rotten and invite bacteria, fungi, and rats that can further risk the safety of your other goods. And drinks, on the other hand, can spill and damage the quality of goods.
- Flammable items such as kerosene, petrol, cooking gas, etc. These should be excluded from the list as just one spark to blow up fire to these highly flammable liquids. And then, a massive fire outbreak will burn down the entire warehouse since the goods contain wooden furniture and clothes that can easily catch fire too.
- Alcohol as it is also flammable and can also spill out from the bottle to create a mess.
- Jewelry and important documents as the warehousing company don’t take responsibility for taking care of the valuables. Hence losing them is easy, and even your service provider won’t be able to help you get them back.
All these things and if there is anything similar to these should not be kept in a storage warehouse of packers and movers. Not even for a short term.
