The final cost calculated by the packers and movers for the entire relocation process is the sum of various kinds of services which a customer avails from them. The invoice issued by the moving company shows the segregation of the various costs charged by them for the different services. A conventional moving price estimate comprises of –
- Packing charges – This will include the cost of packing materials used in the relocation process.
- Labour charges – These charges include the cost of loading and unloading goods by the manpower of the professional packers and movers.
- Transport charges – This is the cost of fuel consumed by the transport vehicle from one location to the other.
- Unpacking charges – These charges are included in the moving cost estimate only when a customer avail the unpacking services from the moving company.
- Insurance charges (Optional) – This cost will only be included in the estimate if the customer takes insurance coverage on his/her goods.
- Taxes – The final invoice includes Goods and Services Tax on the total amount of the services, and Octroi, and Toll tax in case of inter-state relocation.
