Steps to Packing a Fish Tank

Remove the Fish

First safely transfer your fish to a temporary container filled with tank water. Use a net to handle it gently. Make sure the container is well-oxygenated and has a lid to prevent escapes.

Equipment

Remove all electrical equipment, including the light, pump, and other things. This will prevent damage during transport and make packing easier.

Remove Plants and Accessories

Take out all artificial plants, decorations, and any other accessories. Wash them and dry them properly.

Pack Decorative

Wrap artificial plants and decorations in bubble wrap for protection. Place them in a strong box with paper to keep them secure during move.

Live Plants

Unpack the Aquarium: When you reach, carefully unpack the tank and place it on table. Don’t put the fish tank in direct sunlight.

Connect Equipment: Reconnect the heater, pump, and light. Set up the filter according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Add Water and Decor: Pour the saved tank water back into the aquarium and add new water to fill it. Put the plants and other decoratives in the tank.
